Our client, located in Mississauga, has an immediate opening for a Microsoft Systems Engineer to undertake a 3 month contract opportunity with its organization, with strong possibility for extension.
Reporting to the Director of IT, the Microsoft Systems Engineer would be required to provide direct, hands-on expertise in implementation, maintenance and support of Microsoft Server software as well as networking experience in implementations for the company's customer base. The Microsoft Systems Engineer will mainly provide expertise in implementation of Microsoft Exchange 2007, Windows 2008 and the affiliated hardware.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Candidates for the role of Microsoft System Engineer will have 3+ years of experience in physically implementing Microsoft Exchange and other Microsoft Server technology as well as Networking technology (e.g. switches and QOS appliances). Up-to-date Microsoft and other vendor certifications is an absolute must. Additionally, candidates must have access to non-public transportation as the role will require travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Travel mileage will be compensated.
The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, superior technical ability and troubleshooting experience. Ideally, he/she will have experience working in the professional services industry.
Expertise in any of the following vendor technologies will also be an asset:
- HP servers and storage;
- Juniper Networks products;
- VMware;
- Cisco;
- Extreme Networks;
- RSA;
- Citrix.
